Welcome

Congratulations on the start of your wedding planning journey. I am thrilled to be a part of your wedding day and all of the excitement and planning. We will be spending time together to create a wonderful and memorable day.

Here is the process of photography and cinematography with us:

I always start out with each couple by chatting over the phone. I think it’s so important to get to know someone at least over the phone before booking. We will chat about what you are looking for in your wedding day photography, your vision, and briefly go over my wedding day process.

Booking

Once you want to book we either meet in person or over Skype to go through galleries, the full engagement and wedding process, and answer any of your questions before signing a contract. We go over your wedding day timeline in this initial meeting and begin the planning. The lighting and time of the ceremony highly determine the time set for portraits so I always like going over this early in the planning process before a time has been set and invitations have been sent out. I believe every couple needs to feel comfortable with their photographer, your photographer will be the one that is with you the entire wedding day. We go over what you are needing and create a custom collection that is right for you. The contract and deposit are sent electronically to your email and are very simple to complete. Payment is divided into four installments from the time of booking up until two weeks before the wedding.

engagement session

About a week after our consultation we begin planning the engagement session as well as sending out the first draft of your wedding day timeline. Through the years I have been very passionate about creating imagery that is true to who my couples are. We discuss your hobbies, style, and places you enjoy being together and I create an inspiration specific to you. I send out the inspiration with links to wardrobe items, details, and places for the session to help you envision your session. We plan for a day with nice weather but sometimes the weather does not want to cooperate and we can schedule for an alternate location that is indoors or covered or we can even move the date and time of the session. This does not happen very often.

engagement session delivered

Your engagement session gallery and highlight film are delivered to you within two to three weeks from the session. I shoot entirely on film so the film rolls are sent out to my amazing film lab, Photovision to develop, scan, and email me the images. I then retouch the images and do minor editing before sending them to you. You will receive an online gallery of 80-100 images from your session along with an engagement highlight film you are able to download.

wedding timeline & details

The wedding timeline and detailed meeting are discussed over the phone and continues to be revised and perfected throughout the months leading up to the wedding. We make revisions and refine the times up until a week before the day of the wedding. I am happy to answer any questions you may have along the way. I am always happy to help suggest ideas or give you any information you might need.

A month before the big day

About a month before the wedding I like to visit the venue along with my clients but realize that sometimes this is not a possibility. If it is not possible for the clients to go with me but I am able to get to the venue on my own then I will discuss locations I think are best for a first look, family formals, romantic portraits, and sunset portraits. You will also be sent a link to a family formal shot list that you fill out online and submit to me so that I am aware of all of the family members that should be in each shot. We go back over the timeline and chat about all of your wedding details such as shoes, dress(s), invitation suite, any family heirlooms, etc. that need to be photographed. At each wedding, I like to have a plan for styling each item and we go over what aesthetic we want to evoke in the details.

One week to go

We finalize the timeline and family formal shot list one week before the wedding. This allows us to move efficiently through the wedding day and make sure we know where to be throughout the day and what family members we need to capture.

The wedding day

The day of the wedding is a time for you to relax, enjoy the day and allow all of your wedding vendors to seamlessly help your day unfold. Everything will fall into place!

Two to three weeks after

Two to three weeks after the wedding I will send out some preview images that you can share with family and friends and via social media.

Six-eight weeks after the wedding the full wedding gallery and Highlight film is delivered

Your full wedding gallery and highlight film will be delivered to you 6-8 weeks from the day of your wedding. If you have a wedding album in your package or would like to add one to your collection this is now the time you are able to choose your favorite images for your wedding album and choose your album cover color and design.

Album details and Collection delivery

The following week after receiving your full gallery I will gather your list of favorites and send out your album for printing. Albums take 4-6 weeks to be delivered back to me. Once the album is in we either meet in person or I mail the full collection to you with insurance, a tracking number, and required signature upon delivery to your home. Your collection of proofs, USB, album(s), and fine art prints are packaged very well and with care when shipped off to you.
